Project Updates

VNT Chain chief scientist’s smart contract paper was accepted by IJCAI, the top international conference in the field of Artificial Intelligence

Dr. Zhenguang Liu, Chief Scientist of VNT Chain, led the team to achieve the latest scientific research results in the direction of deep learning-based smart contract security vulnerability detection interpretability — the topic is “Smart Contract Vulnerability Detection: From Pure Neural Network to Interpretable Graph Feature and Expert Pattern Fusion”. The paper was accepted by IJCAI, the top international conference in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

The chief scientist of VNT Chain, Dr. Zhenguang Liu, led the team to achieve the latest scientific research results in the direction of smart contract security vulnerability detection review-a high-level paper on the topic of “Smart Contract Security Vulnerability Detection Technology Research Review” was accepted by the CCF Class A Chinese journal “Journal of Software”.
Smart contract is one of the most successful applications of blockchain technology. It provides a foundation for realizing various real-world applications of blockchain, and plays a vital role in the blockchain ecosystem. However, frequent smart contract security incidents have not only caused huge economic losses, but also destroyed the blockchain-based credit system. The security and reliability of smart contracts have become a new focus of research at home and abroad. In the in-depth development of the convergent chain architecture, VNT Chain has always taken the efficient coordination of security, privacy and efficiency as the first priority, and has made breakthroughs in the four directions of smart contract security, data privacy protection, blockchain software architecture, and SGX data protection. System security and data protection have always been our top priority in research and development, and we have made sufficient preparations for business empowerment.

Central Western Finals of the 12th National University Student Service Outsourcing Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

The “China University Student Service Outsourcing Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition” (hereinafter referred to as the competition) is an annual national competition held in response to the country’s relevant strategic measures and calls to encourage the development of the service outsourcing industry and strengthen the training of service outsourcing talents. The main purpose of the competition is to build a platform for college students’ service outsourcing innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities that combine industry and education. The participating teams are all from domestic universities and colleges, mainly undergraduates, and they are free to form teams.

This time VNT Chain provides a blockchain-oriented development platform for the competition, providing technical documentation and technical support such as development tools, data interfaces, etc., to facilitate the rapid development of blockchain applications by the participating teams. The topic of the optional project in this competition “Blockchain-based degree and academic certification management system” is developed based on VNT Chain. As of now, a total of 66 sets of works have been submitted in 3 competition areas across the country (Eastern Division, Central Division, and Western Division). In May, we completed the regional finals of the Central Division (Changsha, Hunan) and the Western Division (Xi’an, Shaanxi). Two members of our laboratory team were invited to the scene as judges to participate in the regional finals. The final competition will be held in Jiangsu, Wuxi in August.

Project instruction :

[Problem description] Traditional paper and electronic authentication systems cannot completely eliminate fraud, and it is easy to cause personal privacy leakage in various links such as storage, verification, and authorization.

[User expectations] Develop a blockchain-based degree and academic certification management system, in which all nodes participate in verification during the process of data on-chain and on-chain verification, to minimize the possibility of fraud and improve privacy protection.

Task requirements:

[Development instructions] The following functions need to be completed

(1) Data generation and chaining process at the time of certification issuance;

(2) Verification method during certification verification: verify the hash value of the electronic certificate file;

(3) User interface: certificate generation, certificate winding, certificate query, certificate verification;

(4) Security and privacy protection.

Development Progress

Hubble Network (Public Chain)

  1. Formal Smart Contract Security Vulnerability Detection Test-Infinite Loop Security Vulnerability — Completed
  2. Formal Smart Contract Security Vulnerability Detection Implementation-Timestamp depends on security vulnerabilities — Completed
  3. Implemented an automatic extraction tool for expert rules, and extracted local expert rules with different vulnerabilities in a targeted manner
  4. According to the data flow and control flow information in the code, the global code semantic map was extracted, and the normalized map was generated through ablation processing
  5. Optimization of the role separation of the super node lock module — 100%
  6. Optimized the node synchronization problem of the VNT mainnet mapping module — 100%
  7. Optimized the voting module of some browser super nodes on the PC side — 100%

Kepler Route (Cross-chain)

  1. The SGX technology module that provides data protection for the process of smart contract accessing key data under the chain, enters the test and verification link;
  2. Optimized application chain management and register the application chain to the cross-chain network;
  3. Optimized some cross-chain contracts and convert application contract requests into chaincode events. After the cross-chain transaction requests are on the chain, the accounting node will issue cross-chain events.

Other Development

  1. Optimized the problem of delay in receiving pbft messages on some nodes;
  2. Optimized the display of the front-end page of the VNT wallet community node lock;
  3. Assisted in solving the synchronization delay problem of some overseas node servers;
  4. Updated the VNT wallet ios test flight version.
