6. Alien: Resurrection (1997)

Alien Resurrection is the franchise’s latest departure. Because of Joss Whedon’s writing, it has a far more comedic tone than the other films. The team discovers that Ripley has been cloned and is being used to make more Xenomorphs for military purposes.

7. AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004)

In 2004, Alien versus Predator was released, telling the narrative of a group of scientists and mercenaries who find a mysterious underground pyramid in Antarctica. They rapidly become embroiled in a centuries-old conflict between two hostile extraterrestrial races. Charles Bishop Weyland, the human basis for the future android and CEO of Weyland Corporation, is played by Lance Henricksen.

8. AVPR: Aliens vs. Predator — Requiem (2007)

Alien vs. Pre Aside from showing us the Predator’s homeland and the formation of a Xenomorph/Predator hybrid, the film is a dull spin-off that adds nothing to either franchise’s general mythology or establishes anything that will happen in the future.
