Vocation Vocation Vocation
It’s all about knowing who God wants you to be
Note from the editor

Welcome to Vocation Vocation Vocation, our publication here on Medium. This is a space to explore what it means to have been made by God for a particular purpose. By this we mean that each and every person has a vocation. God is calling each of us to be and do certain things that no one else can be and do. This calling comes to each of us as individuals, but also to each church, each Christian community, where together God calls us to a particular way of being. The thing about vocation is that it is both extraordinary and ordinary. That can make it hard to talk about and even harder to try and work out what our vocation is. We will be sharing lots of quotes and ideas from other people, but the essence of the blog is to share conversations about how each of us learn what the song is that we have been given to sing, how to sing it out loud and how to re-learn our song, if we’ve been busy singing songs other people have told us to sing. If you don’t like songs, other metaphors work. This is the blog of the Vocations and Training team of the Diocese of Lichfield (https://www.lichfield.anglican.org/vocations_and_training/). All views are those of the individual contributor.
