Today, we’re announcing the Amazon Alexa Fund has led an investment round in Voiceflow with participation from True Ventures and Ripple Ventures.

We started Voiceflow in a University Dorm room a little over a year ago now, initially building interactive children’s stories on Alexa through an Alexa skill called Storyflow. The Alexa Fund had been announced and we applied many times, without success.

Fast forward to today and it’s exciting to be able to partner with Amazon and work on solving the many challenges that face the voice ecosystem: raising the bar for voice app design, discovery, and monetization. Our team has always been one to embrace challenge and with this partnership we’re excited to do so at an accelerated pace.

The Future of Voiceflow

We’re fully focused on building the best tool to design, prototype, and build voice apps. To do this, we’re building features to make VF more extensive, collaborative, and easy to use — while retaining our focus on being a powerful pro tool.

We have many product announcements in the weeks and months ahead.

Our continued focus on Community

Community is at the core of what we do at Voiceflow. With this new round of funding and support from Amazon, we’re going to increase the number of Community meetups and hackathons we support globally.

Already, there are vibrant Voiceflow Community groups in the US, Japan, India, Brazil, and others.

Thank you to our users and customers for their early and continued support.

There’s so much more to come from Voiceflow — this is still early in the journey for all of us.

There are several ways to get involved with Voiceflow:

  2. Join our Community: many of Voiceflow’s most active community members are all within the VF Facebook Group here.
