I thought I could handle it
It seemed easy enough
One, two , three. Go!
I jumped. I didn’t even look.
I just jumped.
I was invincible.
I was unstoppable.
I was the best
Nothing could get to me.
Nothing could stop me.Confidence, it was a strange thing.
So easily manipulated
So easily turned into cockiness
Nothing could get in my way
and so I jumped
Thump!
I fell and I fell hard
I was destroyed
How could I have been so cocky?
Why did I think I would make it?
