Second Chances

Chance after chance

I put my whole life in your hands

And what I don’t understand

Is how your lies are so advance

Yeah you gave me too much hope

Too much pain for me to cope

I was tangled in the rope

The one you wrapped around my throat

Now I’m hanging, barely breathing

Subconsciously grieving

All these wounds continuing bleeding

Seems like pain is never leaving

Yet again I start believing

Even though it’s all deceiving

I can’t help, but only care for you

I’m the one that’s always there for you

I did what they wouldn’t care to do

And all the weight I carried too

The truth is that I barely knew

Couldn’t see the very clue
