From the very beginning, I have devoted my life towards fighting for the right to health for the people. I work at the Resource Centre for Primary Health Care (RECPHEC). Article 25’s successful Global Day of Action has inspired me more to work with larger community groups here in Kathmandu. The support of the people has motivated me to move forward in this sector.

Though health is taken as a personal issue, the health status of any country is a national issue which affects each and every aspect of the nation.

Health outcomes are interlinked with social, economic and cultural development of a country. Especially marginalized and disadvantaged people are deprived of easy access to health and their health rights.

To overcome this, working at the grassroots and community level is very important. Only then will there be improvement in national health outcomes.

I am working at the community level to raise awareness about people’s right to health and easy access to health services by mobilizing youth volunteers.

The Global Vote can be a community-based voice for the right to health movement, and it is deeply related to the work that I am currently doing to improve my community.

“Anti-oppression” is totally new terminology that the Global Vote has introduced here at the community level. I take it as freedom for the right to health.

The Global Vote will be valuable for the right to health movement since it represents the grassroots voice for global leaders to prioritize our health rights.

It is the people’s voice and power to end the global health crisis.

Health for ALL.
