35,000 troops have been put through their paces as they trained under the most extreme of climate conditions.
Exercise Cold Response 2022 ran from March to April of 2022 to train its allies and partners to enhance readiness and capabilities.
This has been the largest Norwegian-led exercise conducted in Norway since the 1980s. It is twice as large as the last Cold Response in 2020.

Up to 35,000 troops from 28 nations participated, including partner nations, Finland and Sweden.
Of these, 14,000 were land troops, 13,000 sailors and amphibious troops, while the remaining 8,000 were air force personnel and various staff officers based across military bases in Norway.
The USA and UK accounted for the largest part of the allied forces.
