In Pictures: Tanks take on obstacles in Estonia

The Queen’s Royal Hussars have taken on a variety of obstacles in the dense forests of Estonia as part of NATO’s Enhanced Forward Presence

The Queen’s Royal Hussars are currently deployed on Operation CABRIT in Estonia as part of NATO’s Enhanced Forward Presence. As the most senior armoured regiment in the British Army, they use the Challenger 2 main battle tank to strike fear into the hearts of the enemy.

The main battle tanks manoeuvred through the types of obstacles designed to slow and even halt advancing vehicles, taking on the obstructions with ease and advancing through the densely wooded area, in a recent training exercise.

The Challenger 2 is a main battle tank, designed to destroy other tanks. It has been used by the British Army on operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Iraq, and has never experienced a loss at the hands of the enemy.
