Experiencing the future of creative technologies in Austin
We are thrilled to see that in-person events are back to full power, and SXSW, the event in Austin that celebrates the convergence of tech, film, music, education, and culture, is not an exception!
Volu was announced at the online edition of SXSW back in 2021, and last year we introduced Volu Pro, showing hundreds of attendees how they could bring volumetric holograms to their experiences in an affordable and accessible way. SXSW is a special event for us!
This year, we participated in a session about the technology used to build the Metaverse. I was accompanied in the session by VNTANA’s Ashley Crowder, Tiago Correia from Move.ai, and Barry McGeough from Wolverine Worldwide. We discussed about how AI is becoming the backbone of a new generation of content, and 3D is not exception; how brands are embracing 3D for e-commerce, and how the Metaverse term will soon be forgotten, just like we forgot the term Cyberspace. It was a great session, we had a full house!
One of the coolest feature we have been working on lately is an integration with 8th Wall’s WebAR technology, and I got to show in action at their developer meet and greet, at Niantic AR Garden. We have new products in the making that involve WebAR, so stay tuned!
