Hello everyone! After a whirlwind of traveling, events, and networking, we are back from SIGGRAPH!
We’d like to take a quick moment to thank those who made our first SIGGRAPH as exhibitors a success. First off, we’d really like to thank all of you that visited our booth and met with us. We really appreciate the impressive turnout and all your interest, feedback, and questions. We look forward to continuing such great conversations and get our volograms to support your amazing creative projects! Thanks to our friends at Looking Glass, Magic Leap and Unity for providing the best platforms to showcase our work and to spark the best conversations.
It was great to share the Garage space with really innovative companies like DGG (super efficient 3D workflows), Extality (spot-on XR for the enterprise), Apelab (XR content creation for all), and Glassbox (real-time virtual productions), to name a few. Thanks, SIGGRAPH, for giving us all such exposure — these startups are making the future happen today!
We got the chance to experience very cool volumetric video demos in the Intel booth where they were showing the capabilities of their massive volumetric studio, a 10,000 square-feet dome with dozens of cameras. These demos included a VR experience featuring Reggie Watts, and a Grease musical performance including 20 volumetric dancers in AR on an iPad.
Unity, Unreal, NVIDIA, and Foundry also hosted some wonderful events and networking opportunities, and you can check out some of the highlights by following the links. A big highlight for us was the activity run by Enterprise Ireland that showcased the work of wonderful, groundbreaking Irish companies like Artomatix, VRAI, Piranha Bar, Jam Media, Cartoon Saloon, and Algorithm, alongside us!
We got the chance to experience some really interesting panels, too. Of course, we were thrilled to see two sessions focused on volumetric video. They were outstanding opportunities to bring together the extraordinary talent behind the technologies and the creations in the field.
All in all, SIGGRAPH was a fantastic experience. We will be back in California, so see you all soon!
