As I was taking a bath after my first 125k bike ride, I felt like sharing my thoughts with the world.
–
Today was all about these mantras :
PUSH YOUR CAPABILITIES & RELAY THE PRIDE TO BE A WOMAN.
RELAY THE PRIDE TO BE A WOMAN.
A lot of women, everywhere in the world, gather for a 100k ride today (yes, I know some are doing it every given Sunday), riding together, celebrating the fact that they can actually do it and building a strong sisterhood.
Simple. But not easy.
I was so nervous earlier in the morning… about mostly everything that could (not would) happen later on the roads – I was making up excuses and «what if» sentences :
What if I get bored ?
What if I can’t complete the whole 100k roadmap ?
What if I am The Beginner ?
And so on.
After all, I got my roadbike two months ago, and I have been riding only 15k then 30k then 60k a few times… and you guessed it.. today was something like 125k in the legs, body and mind.
Question : am I a kamikaze cyclist ?

I went home after a beautiful ride with amazing women. And here are life lessons :
- Challenging myself (and the status quo) is ALWAYS a good idea.
- The whole journey felt more difficult to me than my first marathon.
- Women can do everything and anything. Repairing a flat tire included.
- The roads have more patience than people, for sure, but sometimes it’s nice to meet new faces.
- All these amazing women (and the amazing brand Rapha) made me do it.
