24 Days of Letting Go

This year for the Advent Calendar I have decided to shed some weight. If you have seen me lately you will have noticed that I am so overloaded with baggage my knuckles drag along the ground when I walk. So every day until Christmas I will let go of stuff that no longer serves me. Maybe you should do the same?

Today I will let go of pain. Not all of it. I do not think I am ready for that. But some of it. The way processing — healing — works for me is that I first have to switch to facing from suppressing. That is difficult. I am very skilled at suppressing. And when I am facing it I have to not get overwhelmed by it or too familiar with it. Because then it stays and that is no good. It is like bench pressing. That is hard, too, but better with practice. Release to feel love, light, and gratitude.
