S: Dancing (especially with someone pretty) is one of the finer “luxuries” of life. Luxury because getting pretty people, good music and foot loose comfort together is hard work. Last weekend though, I had one of these moments and it was total fun at a wedding. Side note, Nigerian wedding culture is really incredible stuff. In this issue, we will really like to catch you off guard with instinctive head nods, foot taps and hip-swinging.

“Savage” has a new wig. All thanks go to Jungle Pussy for her shameless “I’m in love”. On fringe music, Island Police’ (nope not the Lagos guys & yes they are an alternative band) song “Static” quite a trip. Moonlight by Phantoms is really how I felt most of last month and my fave of the playlist. Btw I think they are heavily underrated (see Are You Up, Won’t be Here Forever, Been Here Before). Close behind it comes Gbege. Its show and tell at the Lagos School of Omopiano (Amapiano but make it Yoruba) and iTasha (the artist) has two heads. She finished work. On songs I stumbled upon, Bryann’s Longe should be played at weddings, reminds me of Bumper (Jimni Abduls ) from that year. Whazzees Jigga Low is (a doppelgänger of Falz’ Girls) is quite interesting.

Finally, Spotify is in Nigeria, yay!! Yes, you can have the app on your phone without crossing & rivers and seas for (free or) a sexy ₦900 independent of Meffy’s mood swings. Will I be dropping Apple music altogether? No, not exactly. Will I threaten Apple with evidence when they mess up? Most definitely. 😈 I think you should try it out.
