Product Development Update; June
1st Alpha Release
As we are moving further along with our roadmap, our development team has been iterating rapidly, hitting our first milestone “1st Alpha Release & feature definition freeze”. Which signifies that we have successfully implemented some of the most basic features and functionalities to the application and from this stage on, we probably won’t be adding any other new features. However, as time progresses we will be adding new functionalities to take full advantage of everything that our app can offer.
Currently all the functionalities and features are still in the first phase, which means that they are not fully reliable and still require a lot of work. We are testing them in different circumstances by entering any unexpected characters in the input field or clicking on buttons in illogical sequences, which would provoke the system to react incorrectly.
Development Update
We are working and moving forward according to our MVP development plan. Currently we are spending most of our time concentrating on the front-end development so we are gradually adding HTML code that was created on the screenshot/mockup basis.
We are also progressively coding our back-end which processes user actions in the front-end. Between the two is the application programming interface (API), which is already almost fully functional. Most importantly we’re slowly getting ready to include Blockchain associated features, where the main thing for us is to write and store data about endorsement on the Blockchain and meanwhile take care for the appropriate level of privacy for these records.
Stating the above we have wrapped up the initial Alpha stage and are one step closer to launching our first product test release. We will be able to show first glimpses of the app earliest in the fall for public to test it out themselves. Until then we will spend as much time as needed testing, upgrading and developing our app to make it as effective as it is in our vision. Each of these updates and tests have already made major steps forward in different feature sets that helped us better understand the way InsurePals app should be build.
We have already learned a lot along the way when stumbling upon roadblocks, but we are sure that with the unwavering motivation of the team we can keep the momentum going for all future implementations and rapid development.
