For me the idea of social proof is really intriguing and captivating. It’s a strong indication that people are convinced by actions more than anything else. So the concept that you can prove someone your trust not only with your words but with actual money is what convinced me this could be a game changer in the insurance field. And at the same time it also convinced me to join and become part of the fast-growing InsurePal team.

Personally, I’ve been involved in the startup scene for a long time and I’ve noticed that startups in which founders are domain experts have without a doubt much higher chances of success. And because InsurePal’s founders Matt and Tom have been involved in insurance for quite a long time now, they know, breath and live this industry inside and out. I believe their expertise is what gave this team a huge push in the right direction already at the beginning.

However, the biggest challenge for us as a startup was finding experienced developers within the Blockchain sphere. And especially after the flood of all the ICO startups previous year, advanced developers were (or should I say are still) in high demand. Nevertheless, thankfully we were quite lucky to be able to assemble a great development team within the company.

We function really well together and I’m confident we can deliver an awesome product.

Blockchain is obviously a big part of the InsurePal’s story as we use it to store all the social proof data, making it highly secure and private. We’re also using Blockchain to distribute IPL tokens to users as a reward for endorsements. Our developers are doing their best to make it a user friendly Blockchain enabled product. While on the other hand we strive to make user experience smooth as possible and deliver an application with a minimum user drop-off’s at the same time.

There’s so much we have to show, and we can’t wait to deliver what we’re building on behind closed doors. I strongly believe that InsurePal will be commonly used by all kinds of services in the future, especially ones that need to know and trust their users. And the possibilities of using social proof for companies, users or common benefits are endless at this point.
