Hi there, Metaverse citizens!

It’s showtime! Over the past months, we’ve been working with Unpaired to build the 0xArena, a massive venue that will host the Metaverse Music Festival, one of the biggest Metaverse events of the year in Decentraland.

Unpaired, the company behind the fantastic Party Degens NFT project, wanted to create the world’s largest, most inventive, and most inclusive entertainment club in the Metaverse.

Featuring an eye-catching cyberpunk style and design, the 6x6 building will host thousands of people during the MVMF, celebrating music, art, social connectivity, and interactive experiences.

Starting today and for the next four days, 0xArena will host world-class DJs and music artists such as Gramatik, Yokoo, Arapu and PlastikFunk, Salem Ilese, and the Web3 native DJ Rave Ape Club, among others.

Be sure to join the event to enjoy the most incredible music and live shows of the year 👇

About the 0xArena project

Unpaired approached us with a challenging architectural project. They wanted to build the biggest and most memorable superclub in Decentraland to periodically host music shows & live events for their most popular project, Party Degens NFT.

The 0xArena is a stunning cyberpunk-style venue featuring a huge open-air stage, three indoor clubs, a concept store for digital merch, an outdoor circular NFT gallery, a congress room, and two private lounges.

We’ve been working with Unpaired on this project for months, and we are super excited about the community visiting and enjoying this unparalleled construction during Decentraland’s Metaverse Music Festival, one of the most important music & entertainment events of the year.

0xArena features elements of two architectural styles: Deconstructivism and Neofuturism.

The curved forms and shapes, combined with a pure and minimalist architectural language, are the main protagonists of this unique project.

The architectural body starts from a soft geometry, with light volumes and sophisticated figures. The exterior and the interior feature a modern style emphasizing spatial fluidity, curve lines, and minimalism as the project’s guiding threads.

We focused on analyzing the client’s profile and the brand identity of both Unpaired and Party Degens. This helped us transform that essence into architectural forms and find the best solutions to the project’s particular requirements.

Undoubtedly, some of the most impactful features of the building are the different spaces to host music shows, setting a diverse range of moods, the clean and sharp design of the building interior, and the imposing open-air stage on the rooftop.

Finding the best design for the main stage without interrupting the fluidity of the space was a tough challenge for us because this area was also intended to be the social hub.

After analyzing different proposals and alternatives, we created a flexible, open space with a design that highlights the project’s identity.

Users can enjoy many different shows throughout the Metaverse Music Festival while also being able to wander around the building, which has much more to offer.

Attending live shows and events is not the only thing visitors can do in this building. Users can enjoy the RANDOM GHOST’s NFT collection (Cyberpunk aesthetic curator since 2011) around the building, claim free wearables, and appreciate the sculptures and detailed furniture in the different rooms and lounges.

The big opening

The OxArena was unveiled today as part of Decentraland’s Metaverse Music Festival.

The festival will run until November 13th, with hundreds of thousands of people expected throughout the four days.

“OxArena is a unique venue that aims to foster meaningful connections combined with the thrill of the IRL experience, as we collectively experience music and digital art through innovative technologies that expand the imagination.” Said Raluca Cherciu recently, CEO of Unpaired.

The OxArena is inspired by architect Zaha Hadid and Steve Jobs’ works. Its massive size makes this building one of the biggest buildings in Decentraland and the largest entertainment venue at the Metaverse Music Festival.

The OxArena will host various events during MVMF and the upcoming year, opening its door for great opportunities to both Web2 and Web3 brands thanks to its fully customizable setup.

About the Metaverse Music Festival

The Metaverse Music Festival returns bigger and bolder this year, with over 100 confirmed artists across uniquely curated community genre stages and immersive music experiences. The festival is free for all to attend. No VR, ticket, or headset is required.

Set in a cyberpunk city, the MVMF includes the presence of top-tier artists like Björk, Ozzy Osbourne, Dillon Francis, Soulja Boy, Izzy Bizu, Megadeth, Vladimir Cauchemar, SNH48, DJ Regard, Maia Wright, Spottie WiFi, Atarashii Gakko!, Nicola Fasano, Gramatik + Luxas, Maija Kauhanen, Stickmen Project, Breland, Akira the Don, Losers, Harrison First, Steve Saiko, Eliane Correa, 2AM + PIP, Erika Krall, Lian Gold, and many more.

On top of that, MVMF will showcase the latest metaverse technology providing listeners with a truly unique experience. Decentraland’s emotes feature enables any creator worldwide to make custom moves and gestures that bring your avatar to life and will be a central part of how concertgoers have fun through dancing and self-expression during the festival.

Presenting partner Kraken will also drop a series of NFT wearables exclusive for festival-goers, unveil a pop-up NFT gallery, and host a special festival after-party.

Don’t forget to claim your wearable!

What this project means to us

Party Degens is an amazing NFT collection with real-life utility, and we are big supporters of their project. It has been an honor partnering up with Unpaired on this journey, creating an epic venue for one of the Metaverse’s most popular events.

Working with them was a huge pleasure and an excellent opportunity to show that we are up for any challenge, no matter how big or complicated.
