  • Extreme Ownership (3+/4) — For a long time, I claimed that this book influenced my career the most. Recently, I re-read it to validate that claim and to confirm if the book is as good as I remembered. It kind of is. Although the rhetoric and general style might not suit everyone, I still believe that the content is valuable, and that the mindset proposed is unique. I haven’t seen it described as comprehensively in other leadership materials.
  • How the Internet Happened (2/4) — This is a decent read if you want to learn about the early days of the internet. However, I didn’t find anything particularly interesting or valuable in it. It’s possible that this isn’t the book’s fault, but rather that the most interesting facts are already well known to most of us.
  • The Primal Hunter (3/4) — Another LitRPG series for me, and quite a good one. The main character is very solitary, which is refreshing. The world architecture closely resembles that of the Defiance of the Fall series, to the point where it feels like a spin-off or a common franchise. It gave me a strong Batman games vibe.
  • A Deadly Education (3-/4) — Good writing and a very well crafted world, with a somewhat interesting story. I enjoyed the book and plan to read the sequel at some point. However, I would appreciate it if the main character’s abilities were showcased a bit more. For the majority of the book, she doesn’t do much, at least not with her magic.
