Start every week with VPCo.’s Starting Five, our favorite highlights from the last week in sports.

  1. NBA superstar Jimmy Butler is competitive on the court, but he’s arguably just as competitive off of it, too.

Butler started his BIGFACE coffee company during the 2020 NBA bubble and it’s only grown since.

Check out the article below for more on his joe. ☕️

2. NFL players *technically* can’t promote beer; however, they can promote other things (like bears) by way of a beer brand.

Enter Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who has teamed up with Coors Light to promote the new Coors Light Bear. 🐻😂

3. NAPA Racing announced their “Desi9n To Drive” paint scheme and firesuit for an upcoming race in Atlanta after working with two current patients from the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta system.

It’s always great to see children get involved in the design for professional sporting events, whether it be uniforms, car wraps, or something else.

4. Netflix is making their jump into live sports. Well, at least giving it a test run.

Netflix will host a celebrity golf event featuring F1 drivers from Drive to Survive and professional golfers from Full Swing. Will this event attract enough viewers to justify a jump into live sports for the streaming giant?

5. Staying with Netflix, the sports docuseries keep coming. This time, Netflix gives us a look into the lives of quarterbacks, following Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota both on and off the field.

Bet your bottom dollar that this will be a fan favorite and that we’ll see a second season of “Quarterback.”

Until next time, best swishes.
