Following last year’s big success, the exhibition INTER:ACTIVE will once again take place at Kunsthal Charlottenborg at CPH:DOX. The exhibition will include some of the best interactive and immersive installations and VR films out there.

The exhibition will run through the whole festival March 20–31 2019.
INTER:ACTIVE is presented in collaboration with HTC VIVE, B&O, World of VR, Showtime VR, Acute Art and Plant København. With support from the Danish Arts Foundation and the Lundbeck Foundation.

Spheres

‘Songbird’ is an animated adventure with a dark heart. You are taken to the island of Kaua’i in Hawaii in 1984 and into a hand-painted replica of an enchanting rainforest, in search of the last known specimen of the songbird õ’õ. A fabled black bird with yellow legs and a unique voice, whose last living specimen disappeared from the island 30 years ago. The aural universe if just as important as the 360-degree images, and is created by the 3D sound specialist Henrik Oppermann, based on field recordings from Kaua’i and sonic fossils.

Full two-part version. Lynette Wallworth, who in 2017 won an Emmy for her 360-degree film ‘Collisions’, is back with an eye-opening VR documentary in two parts about the first female shaman from the Amazonian Yawanawa people.

Glitch

Glitch is an interactive experience, that raises questions about the relationship between humans and artificial intelligence. During the entire festival, you can use your own smartphone to go on an exploration throughout Kunsthal Charlottenborg and discover different ‘glitches’. Find out how at the entrance.

Hand in Hand

What will our lives look like the day society becomes fully automated? Using augmented reality, the docu-fiction ‘Hand in Hand’ sends you to a near future, where robots and artificial intelligence have taken over everyone’s jobs, while you receive a basic income.
