TRANSITION: Geneva Tous Ecrans Winner

TRANSITION is a virtual reality experience based on the music of Kettel & Secede, created by Mike von Rotz and Joost Jordens. A metaphor for death, Transition takes you on a journey from one world into the next.

Film has just received Reflet d’Or for Best VR Film, donated by the City of Geneva and the State of Geneva (CHF 10,000, around 9300 euro) at the 22nd Geneva International Film Festival Tous Ecrans.
Jury panel made this statement regarding the work: ‘An intimate, spiritual and fluid experience. The artists offer an ensemble of technical and creative approaches using music, motion and a subtle narrative that leaves the viewer emotionally engaged.’

This film is really unique in terms of the trip directors behind the project made to make it possible. Starting from learning Unity and developing a color palette for the work and ending with non-linear storyboard, presented at the Festival.

Great work and no wonder it was selected to Kaleidoscope VR summer showcase!
