ManusVR: Grasp the Future

ManusVR is a Netherlands-based company that have come up with a product, that (in one form or the other) might one day be commonplace in every home of any virtual reality enthusiast. So, what is this super glove that looks like it’s sprung right out of a James Bond movie?
The Manus VR Glove allows users to interact within a game, in a way that just wouldn’t have been possible to do with a conventional and traditional controller. First of all, the gloves tracks hand movement and have highly complex sensors within. This provides a perfect opportunity for developers to make games that give a more realistic feel. When you’re wearing the glove, you can bend your fingers and grab smaller objects just as you would in the real world.

Built for every headset
Manus was initially built for the HTC Vive to be used in a large array of games and apps provided by Valve, but the interest in the Manus was growing and is now being developed to fit with several headset on the market.

Games
To top it off, we will now show you a short video demonstration of the game “Surgeon Simulator”. The title itself is self explanatory but some of you might be surprised.

What’s next?
Manus still has some work in front of them before the expected release in Q3 of 2016. We have taken a look at Manus’ roadmap and as of Q2 they’re working on HTC Vive Lighthouse integration.
