Introducing VRARA Philly

Welcome to the Philadelphia chapter of the VR/AR Association! Our goal is to foster a lively community of business owners, educators, independent developers, marketers, hobbyists, and students alike in the extended reality (XR) industry.
Why VRARA Philly?
We want to promote and uplift local creators of virtual and augmented realities. Members who join our chapter can expect to tap into a rich network of over 30,000 XR professionals across the globe, in addition to gaining access to our local talent & resources. The Philadelphia chapter of the VRARA is a team of passionate starters with the shared goal of building a stage for XR creators to shine.
How do I get involved?
There are plenty of ways to be a part of VRARA Philly:
We’ve launched a new Discord server! You can join our Discord server to share/promote your projects and products, stay in the loop on industry news, career opportunities & chapter activities, and connect with others in the broader Philly XR community! Our Discord server is also a place to give us feedback on how we may improve the chapter.
Participate in our VR game jams! Every month, VRARA Philly hosts a themed virtual reality game jam. Our game jams aim to celebrate indie virtual reality developers. These competitions are open to developers of all skill levels whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned creator. Anyone is free to submit, vote, or cheer on our aspiring developers! Hosted on itch.io, catch our next jam by joining our Discord!
Connect with us on social media! We’re active on Twitter, Facebook, & LinkedIn as vrara_philly. Let us know what you’re up to — we’re eager to engage with the Philly XR community! Official members can also join the VRARA Slack server, and find us in the #chapter-philly channel.
Attend our chapter events! We host both online and in-person events on a monthly basis. This month’s event is a panel on Harnessing the Disruptive Power of Volumetric Video (Sponsored by Emergent)!
