Cryptocurrencies, AI and VR — are hot IT industry trends recent years. Every single year hundreds of millions of dollars are invested in VR / AR. Investing in start-ups associated with new technologies is a risky thing. Investing in ICO is doubly risky, as the market of crypto-currency is very young and unstable. Fraudulent ICO is called a scam — and you probably have stumbled upon them. But have you heard about the scam-investors? This topic almost never discussed. Let’s fix it in our new article!

Meanwhile, scam among potential investors is not always frequent, but regularly seen. They can flood under the publications about the project, blackmail, roll up tantrums, go over to individuals and do not hesitate to insult. In other words, they behave like “haters” and “spammers”. VRT World team is preparing to enter token sale now and already faced such behavior and undisguised aggression from the category “You are scammed!”, “ You have a failed idea” and so on.

How to relieve tension and solve the problem? We will share our opinion on this issue.

So, what to do if you don’t want to:

1) earn a reputation of a “spammer” or “hater”

2) get blocked on forums and chats

3) lose the opportunity of crypto-investing

Just follow these five recommendations. Even before investing!

  • Find out who are the project’s advisers and who are the heads the company that conducts the ICO. Сheck social media accounts, on BitCoinTalk page and professional resources like LinkedIn. If the company has no activity on these sites — draw conclusions. Be sure to carefully read the publications about the project in the media. Your task is to collect basic information about the company and derive a conditional personal rating;
  • Analize at the idea — it should, firstly, interest you, secondly, you must believe in it (otherwise doubts are inevitable); thirdly, it must be viable and promising (even if it opens a new niche in the market) — here already evaluate the business model and company resources;
  • Study White Paper and Roadmap. Well-composed WP and Roadmap should answer all questions of the investor;
  • Talk to the team directly to dispel suspicions. Scam-ICO organizers are not particularly interested in communicating with the audience and for obvious reasons are not ready to go to meet it halfway. Experienced and trustful businessmen, on the contrary, willingly maintain contact with investors and clients;
  • Keep in mind that nobody is forced you to invest in this on that project. As always in the case of investing finance in a prospective enterprise — either get a “bonus” or lose money. The risk in this case is entirely on the shoulders of the investor.

VRT World team is always there to answer your questions and support a constructive dialogue. We are open to communication and regularly promote publications in the media and not only materials about our products. For example, not so long ago we prepared a cognitive text about how to distinguish a scam and knowingly successfully ICO — read it in Russian or in English.
