Đức is a storyteller, not with many words but through the clever use of composition and bold colors to convey the mood of the scene or subjects. Whether out wandering the streets of Saigon or at a wedding of a Cham family in Chau Doc, there’s always a scene that captures the young photographer’s eyes.

“I only got more serious about photography after the decision of quitting my full time job as creative specialist a few months ago. Initially, I just enjoyed my free time, as an unemployed, walking around Saigon, to explore the city I’ve been living for 9 years but barely understand. It turned out to be a great experience and I started to notice how I love capturing mundane things, familiar streets, typical people and turning them into something memorable. I find myself attracted to candid moments of people, when they let down their guards and expressing true emotions, even when I’m still in the scene. Photography also helps me open up more, be vulnerable then understand more about people and even myself”.

“Currently, my friend and I are working on our own travel blog ‘Wanderful Dreamers’, where we share stories of places and people everywhere, with blog articles, photos and videos. Hopefully this path would give me freedom and chances to pursue more long term photography projects.”
