Spirits of the Forest
The forest spirits had enough. When the loggers came back they materialized and attacked them with a vengeance.
The loggers who survived were placed in mental hospitals. They were deeply sedated, to keep them from harming themselves.
But in their dreams they still see them.
Broken
She refused to live in the mortal world, since that’s a mere training for the Eternal world.
She self-flagellated to purify her dirty body and excise her filthy desires.
‘You were born a whore,’ her pastor often said.
At the end her spirit broke.
Along with her body.
