Seven Deadly Sins — Wrath
My take on the seven deadly sins
Her wrath ignited her brain. Off her meds, another episode was bubbling up. The trigger this time was a groping hand. In the metro, at rush hour.
She turned toward the groper and, without hesitation, she attacked him. She slapped him, scratched his face, even bit him.
She howled like a maniac. Despite soon being dragged from him he looked like he was attacked by a rabid dog.
He sued for ‘unprovoked assault.’ She lost after her mental health history was exposed. As for groping her there were no witnesses.
It was his word against hers. The court believed him.
note: According to the Catholic Church “the neutral act of anger becomes the sin of wrath when it is directed against an innocent person, when it is unduly strong or long-lasting, or when it desires excessive punishment.”
I hope you enjoyed my fifth deadly sin story. You can read all of them and other stories and poems up to 100 words here. You may also join VSS365 to write your own.
