Monthly Digest — January 2021
2021 will be another momentous year for V Systems. We’re just one month in and already have hit a number of milestones. We released xLumi, a new payment channel protocol for blockchain systems. There are several contract templates currently being worked on such as VSwap, VOption and Stable Swap contracts, all of which are in different stages of development.
Release of xLumi
We proudly released xLumi in the first month of 2021! xLumi provides a second layer solution to the blockchain scalability issue, which enables efficient micropayments between parties at a very low cost. Please check the webpage and watch our introduction video for more information.
Engineering
Mainnet Development
There are several contract templates currently being worked on, all of which are in different stages of development.
The VSwap contract has been reviewed, and unit tests have been written for it. The contract will begin network testing next.

The VOption contract has also been reviewed, and unit tests are being written for it, the unit tests are close to completion. The VOption contract allows users to buy and sell options for cryptocurrencies on top of the VSYS blockchain. It can also potentially be used in conjunction with VSwap to enable AMM swaps with options.

Another contract under review is a Stable Swap contract, which acts as a method to create and manage orders similar to a traditional order book on a stock exchange.

Improvements are being made to the REST API for better functionality and clearer return values.
Utility Development
V Cloud is developing container service (m8s), which including:
1. M8s deployment interface development
2. Settings of service options, ports, memory, etc.
3. Deployment template open API development
4. Simple user authentication interface
5. Researching Prometheus monitoring
6. Container service provider database order form implementation

V web wallet v0.2.7 is released in Testnet wallet at https://test.v.systems. The new version adds NFT-related functions, including adding, sending, and querying NFTs.
The solution of V Blockchain exchange is discussed. It will make decentralized exchanges with VSwap and Stable Swap contracts.
Ecosystem Updates
Tachyon Protocol
Tachyon Protocol has enabled IPX wallet staking on Tachyon VPN v2.6. Users are now able to stake tokens directly inside the Tachyon VPN platform without the need to operate a node. This function will only be supported on the Android client. Tachyon also released its team roadmap, with a focus on integrating xLumi to IPX payment this year. More exciting listing and cooperation news will come soon.
NFT Octopus
Octopus is working on its NFT card design as well as back-end development work on the game. More news and updates will be rolled out in February.
Supernode Community Updates
Over 2 billion VSYS have been actively staking on the V Systems network. According to Stakingrewards.com, 35% of VSYS tokens have been staked on the blockchain with an annual yield of 14.07%. VSYS has received an overall StakingRewards Score of 65.3%.
