Are you an Oculus Rift owner?

Today, we’re going to layout how you can boost the graphics on your Oculus Rift to almost 200%. In this Guide, we’re going to cover two ways on how to do this. The first way is using the Oculus Debug Tool and the other is using the Oculus Tray Tool.

Oculus Rift and the Virtual Reality revolution come hand in hand. Debatably, Oculus started the entire thing back in 2012.

However, Oculus wasn’t the first. Virtual Reality has existed since the 60’s. Don’t believe it? Check out this video showcasing Virtual Reality in 1991. It’s quite a surprise.

Oculus was first announced in 2012 as a Kickstarter campaign. After raising about $2.5 million from crowdfunding, Facebook became interested and bought it out for around $3 billion.

The Oculus Rift is one of the best true virtual reality experiences because it offers expansive video game worlds and out-of-body experiences within your living room. We didn’t forget about the HTC Vive, which is a beast entirely on its own.

Ready to Boost your Oculus Rifts Graphics?

2 ways: Oculus Debug Tool & Tray Tool

Interested in boosting the in-game detail on your Oculus Rift Games? This method has the potential to significantly improve image quality in Virtual Reality.

Both of these methods use the Hardware’s supersampling.

Supersampling is a spatial anti-aliasing method, i.e. a method used to remove aliasing (jagged and pixelated edges, colloquially known as “jaggies”) from images rendered in computer games or other computer programs that generate imagery.

Note: Please consider your Hardware and Game before attempting.

Oculus Debug Tool (1st way)

1. Go to the Developer Center and download the latest version of the Oculus SDK for Windows.

2. Extract all the files and locate the Oculus Debug Tool in your Tools Folder.

Do NOT run the tool yet.

3. Start Oculus Home. Next, start the Oculus Debug Tool.

4. Change the Pixels Per Display Pixel Override. Default: 1.0 changing the number 1.1 would render 110% of the graphic rendering capability. It is recommended to start low and move up incrementally depending on your PC’s hardware performance.

Oculus Tray Tool (2nd way)

The Oculus Tray Tool has been hailed by Oculus Rift owners as an essential to Virtual Reality Hardware machines. Tray Tool is an application that allows users to enable/disable power management settings, super sampling and much more. This amazing tool was created by ApollyonVR.
