This year, Team Vult Lab was happy to be one of Running Remote 2018’s community sponsors!

An annual event, this conference is perfect for anyone who is currently running a remote team, or thinking about starting one.

Currently, 3.9 million people (2.9%) of the U.S. workforce works from home at least half of the time, which makes sense since running a remote team helps employees save gas, and gives them freedom to do the things they love, like traveling.

Employers who run remote teams are also able to hire people, pulling diverse talent from anywhere, all while saving the cost of having to rent out a space.

The Running Remote Conference — which happened in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia this year — is packed with speakers that share and teach about having a remote team, and we were happy we could join this year’s event.

Some of these speakers included:

— Buffer’s Joel Gascoigne
— Dribble’s Sarah Keuhnle
— TransferWise’s Sean Hodges
— Github’s Lara Owen
— FlexJob’s Sara Sutton Fell

Topics included management styles, managing finances, and how to hire the right people who can work in a remote setting.

This conference was hosted at Hubud, Bali’s first co-working space and one of Forbes’ top 10 co-working spaces on Earth.
