Vuulr is thrilled to announce a partnership with Bountie, a decentralised eSports tournament platform that enables everyday gamers to generate income by playing their favourite games.

Partnership Details

This partnership will mark the entry of Vuulr’s first eSports content in its already growing catalogue and enable Bountie to list its future tournament broadcast and streaming rights on Vuulr’s marketplace. The listing will give Bountie’s content access to diverse distribution channels worldwide — including buyers in PayTV, Free-to-air, IPTV, OTT etc.

A 2018 Global eSports Market Report from Newzoo has indicated that the eSports economy will grow to be worth $906 Million in 2019, at an estimated 38% year-on-year growth. An important content vertical for the broadcast industry, Vuulr is very excited to welcome Bountie, who already services 50,000 gamers — onboard as our first eSports rights seller.

By listing their content on Vuulr’s platform, Bountie’s tournaments can find distribution to more screens beyond VOD streaming, so gaming fans globally can watch eSports with or without a stable internet connection.

There are more than 165 Million eSports viewers around the world currently and 53% of them reside in Asia, where viewing needs can vary. We hope with the Vuulr marketplace opening access to wider distribution channels, we can help bring eSports content to more screens globally.

This partnership is a meaningful one for Vuulr as both companies share the same vision to democratise the playing field in our individual industries. We look forward to have our first eSports content from Bountie and we hope to welcome the many more eSports partners to come on-board our marketplace.

An overview of Bountie’s token system

Bountie has also recently announced a partnership with MSI, a well-known Taiwanese computer manufacturing company. This represents their ambition to grow and nurture the eSports scene in Asia as the company looks to build rapport amongst its users.

While Bountie works on version 1.0 of their official platform, they have made their demo platform available to the public. Their Pre-ICO will go live on 23 September 2018 and public sale commencing on 27 October 2018.

About Bountie

Bountie is a decentralized platform that aims to reward all participants in the gaming ecosystem in a fair and equitable manner for their gaming efforts and skills. This extends not only to gamers themselves, but also to game referees, content creators, and shoutcasters. Bountie’s tournament platform will enable retail gamers to monetize their skills early and compete fairly in an industry that is facing issues with hacking, boosting and smurfing; and will prevent aspiring gamers from failing to take off due to the high barriers of entry in official tournaments.

In addition, by aggregating gamer’s profiles on the blockchain, Bountie aims to build a “LinkedIn for Gamers” where strong relations can be formed, and which may facilitate the career progression for amateur gamers looking to turn professional.
