We can’t believe it’s already been over a month since the Hash Rush Meetup in Riga. Since then, we’ve really worked hard to achieve the best quality for the best game that we can produce. As always, we would like to keep you updated with some of the behind-the-scenes action from the development of Hash Rush. Since we believe that it is the fine details that separates a good game from an excellent game, we’ve made sure to give each planet as much detail as possible. We want to show off this and more, so below we have a look at some of the features that were in our event build we showed off over the last few days at Hyper Town and Casual Connect.
Many great games have a magical guide bringing players into the world and ensuring that the tutorial is fun, and Hash Rush is no exception. The team has been hard at work to ensure that new players will never be lost when getting started.
New Guide: The ORB
We felt that a fittingly mysterious guide introducing players to the world of Hash Rush was needed — something that suited the look and feel of the Ernacks. The Orb (which is created from the magical power within the Hermeian universe) will help you and your Ernacks whenever you need it.
New Event: A sample quest
We’ve been testing out a new quest in this build, and want to be extra clear that this may not reflect the questing system in the finished product. Nevertheless, there’s nothing more excited than exploring an unknown region with a quest objective in mind. What we can’t convey here is the soundtrack that accompanies you as you send your Ernacks to discover new areas and uncover mysterious secrets on your plant.
Meet new Ernacks
Since Ernacks live together in social communities, we wanted to introduce different roles. When they have battles with Fishers or defend their colony from other dangerously lives training and improving skills in order to better protect their community.
Fully refined objects
We’ve got even more new in-game objects thanks to the brilliant work of Nic and Dendy, our concept artists, and the excellent team at Tractor, Set GO! who bring their vision to life in-game.
And that’s it for this update. We’ll be running a restricted alpha testing phase later this summer, so please sign up to our newsletter for a chance to take part!
