My Second Home
When it comes to Tamsui, “a gei” and “iron egg” would cross people’s mind. Every weekend, Tamsui Old Street is always crowded with people. And you can take a ferry to Fisherman’s Wharf or Bali. Fortress San Domingo is also a popular site for family. I spent four years there during my college time, so there are a lot of things that I want to introduce to you.
If you would like to go to Tamsui, It is worth spending a whole afternoon there with a cup of coffee, enjoying the moment and waiting for sunset. You can walk along the riverbank or choose a place to sit and enjoy the breeze. There is a café called “La Vie Rêvée Des Anges”. It is one of my favorite places in Tamsui. In addition to traditional snacks in Tamsui Old Street, there is a lot of food that you should have a try. For example, spicy stinky tofu near Tamkang University is very popular with many local people. Besides, red bean soup and scallion pie in Ying Zhuan road also attract many tourists. And when Dragon Boat Festival is coming, you will see “Din Tao” and “Pat Ka Tsiong”. It is a traditional festival in Tamsui, and all the people will be together to celebrate it. They will beat drums, strike gongs and light firecrackers at least two day. It would be so memorable when you see it.
To me, Tamsui is not just a scenic spot but also a place that is full of memory. It is like my second home. Every time I go back there, I feel at ease. That is why Tamsui is my favorite place.
