If there is one thing I could change to let this world be better, I would let the sun lights up every corner in the world to eliminate a disease called “depression”. This simple but vital change can impact on everybody’s lives substantially.

Some of my friends have been suffering from depression. They are reluctant to walk outside beneath the warm sunshine; instead, they hide themselves in the dark, shabby, enclosed rooms without communicating with others. The depression is not only bad for health, but also kill people in an unnoticeable way.

I really want to help them to get rid of this situation. Therefore, I wish the sunshine could light up the whole world. There are two main reasons that I believe this action is the most economical and effective way for those people in need.

First, according to the scientific reports, scientists have proved that taking moderate sun exposure can gain enough Vitamin D, which is crucial to strengthen our immune systems, to prevent ourselves from being ill.

Aside from the physical health improvement, sunshine can also elevate our mental statuses by boosting bodies to feel mellow and happy. In other words, it is easier to help us feel happy with surroundings and decrease the depression in our minds.

Based on the preceding reasons, I deeply believe that the sunshine could help over three million people who are suffering from depression around the world to be more cheerful and healthier.
