ESSA Revised Plan summary now available in ten languages

OSPI has published their summary of the ESSA Revised Consolidated Plan in the top ten languages spoken in Washington state.

The 20-page summary details OSPI’s plan to implement the new federal education law, including the state’s new, redesigned accountability system, created with the assistance of teachers, districts, administrators, principals, the legislature, tribes, and more.

Also included in the summaries are the state’s planned approach to changes in the law around support for struggling schools, closing equity gaps, improving outcomes for English Learners, and more.

Let us know what you think of the plan! Public comment is being collected through September 5th. After that, OSPI will review the comments received and prepare the ESSA Consolidated Plan for submission on September 18, 2017.
