Today, we’re thrilled to announce Wagr as the Official Sports Betting Partner of Nashville SC.
As a young company pioneering a differentiated offering in a fast-growing market, it’s hard to overstate how excited we are to announce our partnership with Nashville SC and become a part of this club’s history.
We draw a lot of inspiration from NSC’s story.
In addition to our team’s passion for football (fine… soccer), our company-wide obsession with Ted Lasso, the exciting trajectory of MLS, and overall, the bright future of the beautiful game here in the US (#2026), we’re huge admirers of Nashville SC’s success on and off the field.
The team’s on-pitch achievements speak for themselves: two seasons, two straight playoff appearances, an MVP contender, and a gritty team that has quickly emerged as one of the most difficult squads to beat in MLS. Remarkable feats for any expansion franchise, let alone one that had to start competing at the highest level during unprecedented times.
Off the pitch, this club has built something really special in a city that many would have initially overlooked. We’ll be the first to admit that if just a few years back you had told us that Nashville (of all places) would be home to one of the most exciting soccer communities and the largest soccer-specific stadium in the United States and Canada… we would have been skeptical, to say the least.
If you had then added that our school project to make sports betting a more social and inclusive experience would have grown into a full-blown company that is licensed as a sports betting operator in Tennessee… well, we might have easily laughed you out of the room.
But fast forward a few years and here we are: GEODIS Park will be opening its doors to 30,000 fans on May 1st, Wagr continues to expand from our Nashville HQ, and 2022 will surely be a season to remember.
Community first.
We’re also very energized by the strong aligment in values between our organizations. Nashville SC has been built for the community, and so too has Wagr.
Our mission is to reinvent sports betting into a fun, social, and inclusive experience designed for all sports fans, not just gamblers. We’re not your traditional sportsbook. Instead of nudging fans to bet (and lose) money against the house, we give them the ability to challenge others in their community. We know a casual bet is much more than just money: it’s about the banter, the smack talk, the bragging rights, the taunting. We strive to make these bets simple, fun, and never harmful. You know what’s more exciting than betting on NSC? Betting against those fans in the visitor’s section 😉
Ultimately, we’re striving to build a community-driven product that connects people within the NSC fan base.
