We believe that the energy transition will not be possible in the way we need it — without digitalization and AI.

Lisa Koivu Kratochwill, an expert on Digital Transformation of the Energy System for DENA , once said that ‘energy transition will not be possible in the way we need it without digitalization and AI’. Precisely for this reason, DENA has decided to launch a datathon addressed towards experts in engineering as well as marketers to tackle energy challenges.

Women in AI Germany accepted the challenge and put together a crew of five women with (in total) 33 years of professional experience in data science, engineering, UI/UX and marketing. They are ready to team up and bring the energy transition to the next level.

Our fab-five are:

Verena Gorris: She is a smart Green energy expert, poised to solve complex challenges at the intersection of business, technology, and, at its core, people. Data-driven & human-centred.

Katerina Trajanovska: She is a UX/UI designer with 4 years of experience in the field. Working on different products from education to medical interactive applications. Helping the user to make better decisions while using software.

Hanh Cao: She is a software engineer and data enthusiast with over 4 years of experience. Currently, she’s working in the health-tech landscape to develop an application that helps to deliver value-based care to patients.

Sarah_Haq: She is currently a Senior Data Scientist at upday, a news aggregator app, and has been working with machine learning for four years. She has worked in various industries from underwear startups to unicorn companies and loves the never-ending challenges the industry holds.

Ivana Trajanovska: She is a soon-to-graduate Data Science master’s student at Beuth University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, Germany. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering. At her current role as a Data Scientist at DATEXIS (Beuth University of Applied Sciences), she is working on hate speech detection in media and assertion detection in medical texts. She believes that Data Science will help us to build a better future.

Stay tuned to learn more about them. And, let’s fight climate change with data & AI!
