Head of Growth
WAIFU is looking for a director of growth to oversee business development with the aim of creating partnerships that drive awareness and adoption of our e-commerce and digital collectible platform. The Head of Growth will work collaboratively with our co-Founders, Blockchain Engineer, Social Media Strategist and Community Manager to develop a successful user and creator outreach model. This role will drive and delegate marketing campaigns targeting anime, gaming and digital lifestyle communities such as e-sports circles, image message boards, fanart groups and existing creator communities like those on Deviantart, Pixiv and Artstation.
The ideal candidate has several years of business and/or marketing experience with cryptocurrency projects. We hope you are excited to become an expert on our products and community
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect qualitative and quantitative insights in order to develop an agile strategy, roadmap and that delivers robust user growth and long term brand visibility in the cryptocurrency space and beyond.
- Work closely with co-founders, blockchain engineer, and social media team to ensure a consistent and effective growth strategy across platforms.
- Design and optimize user journeys to effectively generate leads across the various touch points, with a focus on anime creators and consumers (initial target audience group).
- Assist in and occasionally take the lead in developing our book of corporate partners/users with the goal of agreements for licensed content distribution and promotion of existing anime/illustration brands/characters
- Create and maintain a strong communication paper trail (via company email) that principal team members can tune into when necessary.
- Ideally, the candidate has worked for other digital startups and is familiar with what is necessary to accelerate a new platform focused on user conversions and widespread media coverage.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Have extensive experience in digital strategy, organizational leadership, growth hacking, and/or product development.
- Strong candidates are familiar with cryptocurrency trading and non-fungible tokens (NFT) markets.
- Have a deep desire to learn about our brand and offerings (e.g. 2D/3D anime waifus, private commissions and illustrators for hire, social blockchain networks)
- Thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment where independent decision making and existing personal networks are crucial.
- Be confident leading important conversations around platform health, sustainability and future vision while allowing for critical input from founding members. We’re a lean team and we all pitch in to make sure everything we release into the world is excellent and inspiring
- Be an excellent collaborator and communicator fluent in English (Japanese/Chinese/Korean is a huge bonus, though)
NICE TO HAVE:
- Deep familiarity with cryptocurrencies and/or new technologies, specifically NFT platforms
- Proven record of previous successful cryptocurrency product growth

Blockchain Engineer
WAIFU is looking for a technical leader with experience in full stack development and specifically blockchain dApp architecture. This is a leadership position in an exciting startup geared for long term growth in the digital economy. We are looking to rapidly scale our technical team and become one of the most important verticals in the NFT space.
This position will be responsible for scoping and maintaining Ethereum smart contracts in addition to front end improvements and fixes for our current NFT platform. As a technical lead, you will design, improve and manage our dApps. You will be the go-to person who can direct our workflow and interface with our Project Manager and other developers from the The Arcadia Group. In addition to maintaining our current NFT marketplace, the technical lead will prepare it to scale for more users and L2 support for low-gas transactions using wrapped NFT assets.
An ideal candidate is enthusiastic about researching new techniques for NFT creation and selling while understanding our core business objectives. Must be able to think as a Project Manager and delegate tasks to development teams if necessary.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all blockchain product decisions and map a long term strategy for the product ecosystem
- Advocate for and understand the best practices for building a decentralized system that favors user custody
- Validate blockchain-related technical decisions with a preference for long term growth and scalability
- Bring up-to-date best practices to our development team
- Troubleshoot critical UI/UX issues and interface with other team members to deploy fixes.
- Lead weekly technical meetings with project principals and other developers; responsible for our development agenda and keeping track of all important issues and development trees.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 years of experience in a professional capacity on Ethereum-based projects OR 5+ years of software development experience and familiarity with Ethereum/Node+React.js and content management solutions
- A technical background as a software or protocol engineer
- Ability to take leadership and ownership of technical roadmaps and solutions
- Comfortable with Node, React, and understands how to build smart contracts which interact with the traditional web stack
- Possesses a working knowledge of designing APIs and building scalable RESTful services
- A deep understanding of the crypto ecosystem and how NFTs function (wrapped assets vs ERC-721/1155/2222)
- Ability to review/edit/oversee the writing of secure code that works quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiar with content management systems and traditional web 2.0 back-end technologies

- A product background and ability to effectively prioritise features and offerings that are user-focused and simple to use for “newbies”

Social Media Strategist
WAIFU is hiring a Social Media Strategist to join in the early stages of our rapidly growing team. You will be working with the Head of Growth as well as other principal members to execute various marketing related activities including Community Management, Social Media Management, Content Management & Marketing, Events, and other related responsibilities. The Social Media Strategist is also responsible for managing community moderators in our Telegram and Discord channels.
We will be considering candidates with at least 3 years of relevant marketing experience, and some exposure to the blockchain industry already with a proven track record of executing Tier 2 or Tier 1 marketing campaigns on major media outlets.
The ideal candidate is already a fan who is familiar with cryptocurrency, anime, digital/physical collectibles, and is fluent in English + Japanese/Chinese/Korean (one is great, more is excellent!)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute marketing campaigns that drive awareness of the product platform and our upcoming token in social gaming, anime and cryptocurrency spaces and beyond
- Know and be ready to share the results and key metrics with the team and across the organization on a regular basis.
- Lead PR to the crypto community including news, media, events, panel discussions and more
- Write high-quality, SEO-friendly content to promote and explain our NFT platform on Twitter, Instrgram and our Medium blog.
- Proof read and support the development of product enhancement launches, community updates and regular Q&A sessions. These include press releases, blog posts, newsletters, success stories, website updates and more
- Conduct research and gather credible information to support your content piece: use internal and external data to tell a compelling brand story, and able to provide regular quantitative and qualitative results
Deliver content and insights that establish trust and deliver value to our audience, in an understandable way
Manage and direct community staff on Twitter, Instagram, Telegram and Discord
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Have 5+ years of communications experience, ideally in fast-paced, early-stage startups, with a proven track record of growing awareness, increasing engagement and driving user awareness.
- Strong understanding of marketing technologies, processes, and best practices.
- Act as a self-motivated driver and leader, who can work autonomously
- Ability to talk Blockchain, Defi, NFTs is a must.
- Be excellent at research and be “in tune” with the crypto markets
- Experience launching community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum, launching an ambassador program, creating an event series and writing an email newsletter)

- Proficiency with Photoshop and video-editing software.

Community Manager
WAIFU is looking for a qualified Community manager to join our team. If you are a tech-savvy professional, experienced in social media, PR and promotional events, we would like to meet you.
Our ideal candidate has exceptional oral and written communication skills and is able to develop engaging content. You should be a ‘people person’ with great customer service skills and the ability to moderate online and offline conversations with our community.
Ultimately, you should be able to act as the face and voice of our brand and manage all community communications.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set and implement social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies
- Provide engaging text, image and video content for social media accounts
- Respond to comments and customer queries in a timely manner
- Monitor and report on feedback and online reviews
- Organize and participate in events to build community and boost brand awareness
- Coordinate with Growth and Social Media teams to ensure brand consistency
- Liaise with Development team, Growth and Project Founders to stay updated on new products and features
