Leaving Society Behind-pt. 1
Ten friends embark on a secret journey.
This is an introductory story to introduce some of the characters in my graphic novel “Wake The Earth”.

The full moon was rising on the mountain village as a group of people gathered together to silently make their exit from the locale. Dressed in dark heavy hooded cloaks with bags packed on their backs, they swiftly made their way outside the small town. Ahead of them the trail rose high into the glacier capped mountains. The group ascended the steep climb for a few hours before reaching a small flat area, where the lot of them stopped to take a break. They threw off their backpacks and cloaks in order to get more comfortable. There was ten of them, with equal numbers of men and women.
“Well that was intense as fuck,” one of the men stated out loud.
“The next time we decide to go on an adventure like this, I vote that we don’t go for the most difficult goddamned destination.”
“Mustafa,” another man said to the first, “you know we need to go to these places because it’s less likely that we’ll run into other people. You know that we can’t be seen…
