Hell Is All That Is Seen
Wake the Earth- book 1- chapter 1
Flames are all that can be seen, screaming can be heard from within the crackling of the fire. Silhouettes of faces begin to be seen amongst the billowing inferno. One face, in particular, begins to make a definite speech.
“Cedric…” the face continues to speak, but cannot be heard entirely. “… your fault… …Cedric! You… … only you… …CEDRIC!”
The voice cuts in and out, now screaming, “… …HELL… …CEDRIIIIIIC!!!!”
Cedric snaps awake in the middle of the night, screaming, ‘AAAAAAAAGH!’
His girlfriend lying beside him is awakened with a fright, “What, what, who!?!”
Cedric looks around the room and regains his senses. Breathing heavily he speaks, “Holy fuck, I’m sorry Courtney. It was just another fucking dream.”
“Holy fuck,” Courtney says hazily. “I think that the next time you see your therapist you should get something stronger, like an anti-psychotic.” She snuggles up close to Cedric, spooning him, and…
