MettaCamp ‘17

From April 9th to May 7th at Ghoomakad, village Rakkar, Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh, India

This April, Ghoomakad and Jaaga are being joined by Trilok Akhada for Nath Yoga and the Dharamsala community, in organising MettaCamp in Rakkar.

Metta means compassion in Pali. An evolution of CodeCamp, this is a four week camp to relax, enjoy and grow the Self by gaining meaningful knowledge, tools and friendships.

To de-stress, rejuvenate, pick tools and knowledge for better quality of life, enjoy nature.

Here we will

• Work on mind and body for a successful life (as an overall theme facilitated by coaches)
• Pick up useful life and vocational skills
• Learn about mind, body, healing, massages, fitness, food, nature, startups, technology and more.
• Be energised by fresh air and charged up environment
• Live close to nature
• Work on community projects like LifeMaker
• Make friends with talented and progressive folks
• Relax
• Enjoy — baths in mountain rivers, mountain excursions, yummy healthy food, live music, bonfires, dance
• Experience joy of loving, caring, open and truthful company

Some of the camps

A bunch of experts from different domains (life, Yoga, healthy lifestyle and food, massages, startups, web and mobile, music, trekking, tarots etc.) are going to be camping with you as facilitators. They will share their time, skills and knowledge to weave together an invaluable, diverse and unforgettable experience in the mystical Himalayas. You can see currently listed camps on the website.

This is an invitation to invest four weeks of your life to become a better and happier you, and to make some real friends — something to cherish for life.

We can host up to 50 people. It is a paid camp for being sustainable. Scholarships are available with preference to students and Himachalis. So don’t hesitate because of budget. Apply if you feel a calling.

There is a curation process whereby we are shortlisting the participants. Last year we had more than 200 applications for CodeCamp. The earlier you apply, and greater your desire, better are your chances to make it :)

Maybe I see you in Rakkar on 9th April. Will be… wait for it…. awesome, if that happens! Or else, maybe we meet maybe during Hillhacks in May?
