It is easy to sit comfortably on your couch fretting about the ongoing situations happening with you nowadays or show your avid interest in how someone's messing with their lives or advising random people should do this or that to add change to their lives.

But how about taking a reverse turn in your life, watching your mind be free from pollution and your actions that dictate the quality of your life?

I know it is challenging to redirect your life into significance since our busy schedule occupies our minds and pesky temptations hinder our growth, so we want to live our lives at our convenience.

However, it highlights a lack of willpower and regulation of the mind. But don't worry, we can change this! Here are three easy steps to increase your willpower and get an adaptable grip on your mind.

1. Say a Big No to Gossip.

Sometimes, you don't want to put yourselves into gossip, but others around you try to keep you hooked on unnecessary talks. Remember to say a Big No to chatter.

You allowed your mind to get distracted by unhealthy trivialities. It affects your concentration span while you can make the most of your time by discussing your goals and surrounding by like-minded people who indeed put value to your life rather than making a shit about your brain.

Do yourself a favor. And next time, if someone brings up chatter, change the topic or excuse yourself. This small step can miraculously increase your mental stability.

2. Make firm decisions and cling to them.

Making firm decisions in life and clinging to them demands practice and resilience. Let's consider if it's breaking a chain of having fast foods in your diet to maintain your figure or getting rid of your toxic mate after witnessing red flags in your relationship.

I know it is tough to break the cycle of repetitive habits since your mind and body are not easily adaptable to change initially. But we can't let our temptations dictate the picture of our life.

If something is BAD, Accept it right, and once you vow for anything, hold your ground! And mean it.

It strengthens your willpower and builds respect for yourself after respecting your choices.

3. Practice Silience Daily

We like to spend "me time" after an exhausting routine that mostly rocked to the core. However, allocate a chunk of time throughout your day to practice daily silence, where you try to set aside all your worries, struggles, and nagging thoughts that juggle your mind and body into hyperactive mode.

When you're about to practice silence, avoid speaking and focus on your thoughts. It helps regulate your speech and thoughts, improving overall willpower. It brings clarity and peace, making it easier to handle impulsive reactions.
