We met in the cafe. We were sitting at different tables and noticed that each of us was dining alone. She walked up and asked if I wanted some company. “Sure,” I said. She sat down with her cup of coffee, black with no sugar, the same as me. We chatted for a while and when the waitress came, she ordered just a bowl of soup. I got a chili. After finishing, she said we’ll have to do this again sometime. I said how about dinner tonight. She agreed and said I need to rest now. Tonight, I’ll get to know you. We parted ways and agreed to meet here again for dinner. As she walked away, she turned and said, “Till tonight then, looking forward to it.” I couldn’t help but smile. This was the start of something new and exciting.
