Is That Why We Were Born?

To slumber in oblivion?

NO!

That is not why we were born!

We were born for greatness!

Let us long remember, that our lives are a testimony, an opportunity to wake up to the fact that we MUST live fully and when we die, to die empty.

Our gifts are not ours to keep and to hide from the world.

That is not why we were born.

We were born to shine a light where no other human can shine that light. For our uniqueness, is ours alone, yet not to keep, but to share.

Therefore, we must walk in the light of our destiny and fulfil our commission for the life we have been blessed with.

Let us shine into the night of the unknown, let our courage lead us and let our fortitude propel us into overcoming adversity, strife, and all manner of intimidation and discouragement.

To show that indeed, we were, and we are, destined for greatness.

We all know that time passes, as time always does, and our lives end.

That should be the spur that enables us to give our all. To be all we can be. To transform and make a difference.

We can do, we must do, no less.

We must live our lives, fully confident in ourselves. Let the world sneer, dismiss and ridicule us, yet as Epictetus joked, “though they may criticize or dislike us, let us just say to ourselves, if only they really knew me, they’d like me even less!”

In that way, we learn to laugh at ourselves and with that comes the ability to live with ourselves.

We, you and I, should not care and take to heart what the world thinks of us.

We were born special with the ability to bend destiny and the power to direct fate.

To hold the line, regardless.

That is what it is to be born and to live.
