When I was young and used to see all those protagonists in rom coms writing in their diaries, I thought it would be pretty cool to maintain one. As life went by ,and I was interested in more educational pursuits, I stopped writing one. Last year, I got a journal as a birthday gift, exactly when I was contemplating about life. I have been a consistent writer for the past one year.

I got more peace , clarity and was more productive than ever before. Let me tell you how :

Less Burden

Writing down your thoughts actually help to release repressed emotions. Introverts have a problem expressing their emotions. We can’t raise an opinion in front of a dozen people. In fact, what we do is repress it and then suffer the consequences. All these negative emotions of regret , disappointment and self loathing will build up and mess our heads. So, the best way to get rid of it, is to write it down. What we can’t tell others , we can tell it to our secret best friend.

Re Experience The Good times

We can write all the little moments that gave us joy. Best part is we can re -live it, whenever we feel like reading our journal again. Of course skip all the bad parts and focus on the good ones, It will definitely make you smile. Writing down our micro wins daily can boost our confidence too which we introverts need from time to time. This can be your own little secret me time.

Better productivity

Journaling has improved my writing, In fact it helps to organize your thoughts. When we have a lot going on in our mind , just write it down , so that you will know which plan to eliminate and which one to take forward. This can improve our clarity in thoughts and also offers a place to work through confusion.

Indirectly Activates Gratitude

Jolting down what you are grateful for can rewire our brain to focus on positives in life. Being more aware of the beauty in life can help us to appreciate our own value thereby , fostering a positive self image.

Our secret genie

Journaling helps us to plan beforehand so our execution improves. Our daily productivity improves and our quality of life is raised. Writing down your dreams and hopes can actually help you visualize it better, making it easier for us to work towards our goals. Its like a free wish granting genie , Don’t you think so ?

So don’t wait , just buy one and start writing down your thoughts , dreams and hopes and see the magic unfold.

Thank you, Have a Good Day
