We’re Living Happily in Our Old Age

We’re an old couple who appreciates their age.

We love the things we do and don’t do.

Since most of our life is in the rear view.

On the past we do not dwell.

Father time has treated us well.

Gone are the days we had to get up.

There’s no more drinking from styrofoam cups.

We are blessed with nights of good sleep.

And having for dinner what we want to eat.

We think “going out” is a trip to the store.

We’re not wanting for anything more.

We have lots of brands of hand ointments.

They reduce our time at doctor appointments.

We have come to realize.

We’re not exempt from a sudden demise.

We won’t fill our days with regrets.

We’re still alive

because we’re not done here yet.

I don’t understand the trend for gray divorces. In old age it’s more about cooks than looks. Your time is better spent eating well.
