Logan Square is Where. . .
In this sketch, the stickman that is circled in yellow all the way at the top is meant to represent a women who had short, pink, fairly luscious hair. Every inch of her arm was nearly covered in tattoos. Her eyebrow had metal pierced into it, and so did her nose. She was wearing a black long sleeve and long black leather pants, while it was 90 degrees outside. But what stood out about her the most, was her nails, they were at least 3 inches long. I sat there thinking about how she runs errands, or even holds objects.
This is a sketch representing the barista at the Passion House Cafe. Once I got there, I had taken a while, basically contemplating what drink I should order (like I always do), and the barista had been so patient. After maybe 5 minutes of thinking, I had finally ordered myself an iced white mocha latte. When looking at the barista, I had noticed that he has blonde slicked back hair, which was mostly covered by his grey beanie. He had shimmering blue eyes that danced in the sunlight. His nose was pierced with a thick piece of metal. The most shocking thing I had noticed was that he has a tattoo of a bird knife on his forearm; it was really detailed and awesome!
Answer to Question 1:
Back in ancient Greece, women were kept in a private manner, to ensure that they were only accessible to one man. Generally speaking, women were owned by men.
This carries over to present life, considering women are still unable to walk during the night without someone “protecting” them. Since most cultures consider women to be the weaker gender, they are seen as easy targets while traveling after dusk. But why should women be responsible for controlling the sexuality of a man? Why must they think twice about wearing non-revealing clothing or even consider staying home once it gets late? Women are asked to think twice about what their wearing before they go out late because it may attract men. Women aren’t given the freewill to wear what they want, let alone be present during the night in the city; which makes them feel restricted in a way.
If there had been a crime in a particular part of the city, people will refuse to walk, or will be more cautious when walking around that particular area. They assume that everyone in that area is dangerous, which is strictly closed minded.
