Start: Seton Hall (4:41)

Destination: Oz Park (4:51)

Things I noticed:

Woman with baby

Many trees

Children playing at “Dorthy’s Playground”

Mother pushing child on swing

large white dog

Restaurant that gives discounts to DePaul students.

The difference between walking with intention versus attention is that when intention is just knowing where you want to go, but attention is knowing the area around where you want to go and actively looking around for it. When I walked to Oz park I was definitely walking with attention; I was looking around me trying to notice as many things as possible. While when I go to the Fullerton stop, I know where I’m going and I’m only paying attention to that, so this is walking with intention. While you can walking with intention and attention and vise-versa, it is really important that you do both while walking around Chicago because you really get to see the beauty of the city when you’re walking to a destination, but also looking around and noticing things. In conclusion, go somewhere with intention, but also make sure to be aware of your surroundings.
