Don’t call me a hoarder. I call it ‘being prepared’. Trust me, there’s a good reason why.

Let me explain how this mindset could save you some money and stress — especially if you live in the US.

We have no idea what’s coming next — tariffs, inflation, giant snowstorms…there’s so much that is out of our control.

The point is that prices are rising, and we can’t stop it.

But what we CAN control is how we plan ahead and work room into our budget to stock up on essentials now, before prices climb even higher.

With tariffs potentially looming on imports from Mexico, Canada and China in the beginning of 2025, now is the time to stock up on some key essentials and re-evaluate what we use daily. We need to know what to prioritize, where to look for hidden savings and how to stay in the game without breaking the bank.

Being able to stock up on things will only last so long. But if it’s something that you eat a lot of, you can at least save for six months or however long it takes you to use up your purchases.

If some items become unaffordable, I have some creative substitutes that work just as well.
