With the new feature of Scatter Integration, the processing of knowing or accessing your coin balance through Wallet for EOS is much simplified unlike before.

Here is the new workflow of Wallet for EOS. Have a look:

As soon as you enter the wallet, the end user needs to choose the option of Main Net or Test Net. The Wallet for EOS currently supports both EOS mainnet and Jungle testnet. Followingly, the first screen initiates in entering two different pieces of information i.e the contract name and the account name of your token.

The contract name cites for an account name of the publisher of this contract.

Under the second field, the end user is asked to enter his account name. This can be initiated either via entering the account name manually or via clicking on the ‘Integrate Scatter’ button.

In further, upon clicking the “ACCEPT”, the account name in scatter identity gets automatically fetched to the account name field. After that, the end user has to select the network by sliding over the tab.

One can click on the “CHECK BALANCE” button to retrieve the data.

Following window shows three fields. The account info, token info and facility to transfer tokens.

The account info shares the general information upon of the account like their RAM usage, CPU bandwidth and NET bandwidth. It also shows the liquid EOS available in the account.

The second tab gives the information of availability of tokens in the given account.

And finally, the third tab initiating the function of token transfer. This allows the end user to transfer their tokens to another EOS account. In order to avail this option, one must sign in with scatter. The Wallet for EOS doesn’t demand the end user to enter their private key in the website. The scatter extension is responsible for keeping the private key safe and signing transactions on behalf of a user.

If the end user already integrated the scatter from the first window, they don’t have to do it here again. They have to enter only the recipient’s 12 character account name and quantity of tokens that to be sent. Upon clicking the transfer button, the scatter pop up appears and the end user has to confirm the transaction from there. The transaction will be executed instantly and your updated balance and account info will be displayed on the screen.
